Cottonwood Heights is an incorporated city since 2005 and is a suburban city in Salt Lake County, Utah, located along the southeastern edge of the Salt Lake Valley. It sits at the base of the Wasatch Mountains and is often called the "City Between the Canyons" because it is bordered by Big Cottonwood Canyon and Little Cottonwood Canyon, two of Utah's most popular mountain recreation areas.
